Collaborative Law
Collaborative law occurs when divorcing or separating couples meet out of court with their family lawyers to resolve their issues. It allows a measure of freedom and input the courtroom lacks.
Collaborative law relies on open communication between parties, with respect and disclosure being paramount in the process. The parties commit to this process at the beginning of the negotiations.
In the Collaborative process, you play an active and key role. Unlike the court process where someone makes decisions without your input, Shinehoft Law will negotiate an agreement by listening to your needs and goals.
One of the greatest advantages of Collaborative Law is that the process allows you to resolve issues directly and with far more efficiency. You have more control over the process including timing and prioritizing issues.
Working within the framework of collaborative law is often the best way to reach a mutually acceptable legal separation built on respect and teamwork.
